I'm particularly interested in design projects which utilize a playful, handmade feel; whenever possible, I create my own design elements by hand on paper, then scan and vectorize them for use in digital design programs. I find it easier to achieve results that are accurate to my vision that way, and I find that clients appreciate the end product more when they can tell all elements are made from scratch.
I focus on keeping design languages simple, readable, and accessible. For example, note the primary use of sans-serif type to convey important information alongside handwritten scrawl to provide flavor text. I keep digital projects within formats accessible to screenreaders and-- for materials solely in English-- formats that can be highlighted, copied, and pasted into translation services.
Simple never means boring! I love working within set branding constraints, finding new ways to push their boundaries and keep making fresh, new decisions while maintaining a consistent design language.
